Mechanical engineering professional Avi Polischuk is the owner of mechanical engineering firm R&S United Services, the company his father established. After his father’s passing, Avi Polischuk created the Fred Polischuk Memorial Fund to honor his legacy.
The Fred Polischuk Memorial Fund was established in 2014 to pay tribute to R&S United Services founder Fred Polischuk, who succumbed to heart disease in 2013. The fund makes scholarships available to the children of R&S employees, allowing them to achieve their dreams in higher education.
In 2014, just one scholarship was awarded. Since then, the fund has grown thanks to industry partnerships and many donations. It is now able to provide several scholarships each year, helping even more young people pay for their schooling.
Scholarship applicants must submit their resumes and a list of their notable accomplishments along with a special essay. Winners are selected on Fred Polischuk’s birthday – May 30 – each year. To learn more about the Fred Polischuk Memorial Fund or learn how to apply, visit www.fpmsf.org.
